Match a Panel. Or Respray the Whole Vehicle.

Paint work falls into two scopes. A partial match blended into existing paint, or a full vehicle respray. The right answer depends on the condition of the rest of the paint and what the vehicle is being used for.

Paint Matching & Blend

Partial Panel or Single Panel

  • Manufacturer paint code pulled from the vehicle VIN sticker
  • Spray-out card mixed and verified before any panel is sprayed
  • Adjustment for sun fade and age on adjacent panels
  • Blend into adjacent panels to hide the repair edge
  • Base coat and clear coat applied to factory thickness
  • Color sanded and buffed to match factory finish
  • Color match verified under shop and natural light
Full Vehicle Respray

  • Original paint sanded or stripped to bare metal where needed

  • Color change quoted with door jambs, engine bay, and trunk included
  • Cost scales with prep scope and color choice

Four Steps. Same Every Job.

Paint that disappears into the rest of the vehicle is hard. It takes the same sequence every time. Skip a step and the match falls apart in daylight or after one wash cycle.

  1. 01

    Pull the Color Code

Manufacturer paint code pulled from the VIN sticker or door jamb. Tri-coat and pearl codes include the additional clear and pearl identifiers.

  2. 02

    Mix & Test on Card

Color mixed to the code. Spray-out card sprayed and dried. Compared against adjacent panels under shop and natural light before any panel is touched.

  3. 03

    Prep & Booth

Panel sanded, sealed, and masked. Base coat and clear coat applied in our climate-controlled booth. Multiple flash coats. Cured to spec, not shortcut.

  4. 04

    Color Sand & Buff

Wet sand to flatten the clear, buff to factory gloss. Body line and panel gap check. Color match verified across panels before delivery.

One Painter. One Booth.

Paint match consistency comes from doing the work in the same conditions every time. Same booth, same painter, same color-match process. We do not subcontract paint work and we do not run paint outside the booth.

Common Questions

Will the paint match exactly on a single-panel repair?
Yes, with proper blend technique. We pull the factory paint code, mix to specification, and verify on a spray-out card before spraying the panel. The base coat is then blended into adjacent panels to hide the repair edge. Color match is checked under shop and natural light before delivery.
Can you do a full color change on my vehicle?
Yes. Full color changes include the door jambs, engine bay, and trunk so the new color is visible everywhere the old one was. Tri-coat and pearl colors are fully supported. We will quote both the labor and the additional paint required so you can decide before committing.
How long does a full vehicle respray take?
Most full resprays run two to three weeks at our Midland shop, depending on prep scope and how much disassembly is needed. Restoration projects can take longer. Single-panel paint typically runs two to three business days. We give you a written timeline before any work starts.
Do you paint commercial vehicles and fleet trucks?
Yes. Service trucks, oilfield equipment, work trucks, and commercial pickups go through the same paint booth as passenger vehicles. We can do brand-color paint jobs for fleet vehicles with consistent color codes across the fleet, and we document the work for fleet maintenance records.
Do you guarantee your paint work?
Yes. Paint workmanship is guaranteed against premature failure (peeling, lifting, or improper adhesion) for the life of your ownership. The written guarantee goes home with you on every paint job, signed by Chris. Color match within manufacturer tolerance is part of the guarantee.
